The majority of Rose’s career has been spent in engineering and robotics including UAS. Rose has served as the Executive Director of the Mid Atlantic Aviation Partnership (MAAP) a FAA awarded UAS Test site. She was also the Director of Engineering and then Director of UAS Airspace Integration for AAI / Textron Systems working with the Shadow and Aerosonde. She was president of UNITE (UAS National Industry Team) which included AeroVironment, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, DRA, GA-ASI, and others. Rose seeks to enable cost effective solution using technology and adopting regulation to support commercial growth. Rose is a national and international speaker for education, advocacy, use and safe integration of UAS in non-segregated airspace. She understands the importance of the relationship between industry’s need for commercial access and the regulatory environment. Rose has led and served on many UAS committees for RTCA, ASTM, ANSI, ICAO, and NASA. Rose holds an MBA – Leadership from Liberty University and a BA degree in Information System Management. She is an active student pilot, set and lighting designer, enjoys working in her community and church and spending time with friends and family.
