American Aerospace selected to join the Vantis Statewide UAS flight Network in North Dakota

Conshohocken, PA (JUNE 06, 2022)- American Aerospace Technologies, Inc. has been selected as one of six winners by Vantis to utilize North Dakota’s statewide unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) network. AATI was selected as a winner following a request for proposal (RFP) seeking multiple UAS to support operational testing of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flights along the statewide UAS network. The test flights performed by AATI will provide data and additional network testing and will be provided to Vantis to ensure safety standards are upheld throughout the network. AATI flight data will be shared with the Vantis network to help promote the case for type-certification through the FAA for these aircraft.

“BVLOS UAS operating at medium altitudes (between 400 and 10,000 feet) represent the next revolution in unmanned aviation. In many applications, they offer incredible increases in safety, efficiency and productivity over drones as well as conventional aircraft. We are thrilled to be working with the Vantis team on our common goal of validating their safety and effectiveness for routine operations at scale.”

American Aerospace Technologies, Inc. will be conducting medium-altitude, long endurance UAS missions within the Vantis network, focusing on pipeline and other linear infrastructure applications.
